Every time I hear The Joshua Tree or one of the B-sides they make me think of the summer, because I bought the deluxe edition from The Joshua Tree on a very hot day in the summer!
Because I’m such a young U2 fan I did not buy the albums in a chronological order. I’m now thinking in what order I had the albums…
We had Under A Blood Red Sky at home, but that was the only cd…
I believe I got Boy and War (at the same time) after I started to like them (after I had seen the Elevation dvd over and over again).
Then I got October at the end of the school year (2003).
- Under A Blood Red Sky
- Boy, War
- October
- Pop
- The Unforgettable Fire
- Rattle And Hum
- Wide Awake In America, Achtung Baby, The Joshua Tree, Zooropa
- All That You Can’t Leave Behind
- How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
- Original Soundtracks 1
- No Line On The Horizon
I’m not 100% sure about the list, but I do remember that my father came home with 4 cds at once just before dinner and I started with Wide Awake In America, because it had only four songs on it. :)
I really liked Boy and War, but I did not like Pop when I first heard it. The only song I liked was The Playboy Mansion. I knew Gone and Wake Up Dead Man from the Elevation dvd, but I did not like the studio versions. Pop was however a very long time in my cd player so I listened to it a lot. Hahaha I remember that I wasn’t sure who was Bono and who was Larry on the cover art! ;D (but I guessed rightly :P) I skipped Discothèque a lot in the beginning, but I stopped doing that after sometime. The more I listened to the cd, the more I liked it and I actually started to love the cd! I wanted more cds and they followed quickly after each other. :)
